    PURPOSE:
    The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for daily pharmacy operations including pharmacy oversight. This is inclusive of supervision of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, preparation, dispensing, counseling, and monitoring of medications including inventory management.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Report to the applicable State Boards of Pharmacy as the Pharmacist-In
    • Charge (PIC).
    Responsible for sustaining an environment for the safe, rational, effective, accurate and efficient use of oncology and other related medications prescribed by the licensed physiciansReview and process physician orders and evaluate for accuracy and appropriates of therapy, prior to dispensingCounsel patients on proper medication usage and potential side effectsMonitor patients for medication allergies, adverse drug events, and therapy complianceCommunication with the physicians as necessary; responding to physicians questions regarding medications and treatmentsOversees the preparation and shipping of prescriptions as orderedEnsure the patient receives the right medication and amount in a timely mannerSupervise all areas of the prescription filling process, including data entry, accuracy of any needed calculation, proper directions on labels, etc.

    Responsible for the direct supervision of technical support personnelProvide internal clinical expertise to physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staffInvestigate/research/report adverse drug reactionsAssist in the development and implementation of therapeutic drug regimensInventory management including drug ordering, tracking and reportingWorking knowledge of pharmacy software inclusive of drug entry for drug shipments received, dispensing reports and monthly reportingAttendance at training sessions inclusive of upgrades to the softwareMaintain patients confidentiality in accordance with HIPAAAll job duties are required to be performed in accordance with all applicable State and Federal laws, professional practice standards, and policies and procedures of the companyQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    Registered Pharmacist License in South CarolinaMust be willing and able to report as the Pharmacist-In-Charge to the State Board of PharmacyEDUCATION AND/


    OR EXPERIENCE:
    3+ years of experience as a pharmacist with training in drug therapy of diseases including the knowledge and application of clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, drug-drug interactions, and pharmaceutics to patientsRetail, specialty, or oncology pharmacy background preferredBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from a college accredited by the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
