Calvin Giordano & Associates, a SAFEbuilt company is currently searching for a Project Engineer in our West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale office to help with projects including redesign of roadway corridors, park reconstruction, water and or sewer infrastructure replacements, neighborhood drainage projects and more.

This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments.

Youll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in civil engineering ranging from roadway, drainage, utility design, or land development experience.
The position requires design, technical knowledge, and ability in applying principles of engineering.
Preparation and review of engineering design plans and specifications.

Coordinating activities of engineering projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Ability to work across various disciplines to produce complete projects.

Oversees and can participate in work involving the preparation of design using local (State, County or City) standards at both conceptual and final design levels.

Initiates and prepares proposals.
Maintains positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned.
Other duties as assignedSKILLS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & PROFICIENCY Bachelors in Civil Engineering requiredEIT license required or FE exam passedHave solid computer skills and experience using PDF, BlueBeam, and MS Office programsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExercise initiative and display independent judgmentBe self-directed and self-motivatedAutoCAD Civil 3D or MicrostationManage various tasks on severalconcurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned
