    Description


    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.


    Responsibilities


    • Greet patients, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for exams or treatments
    • Provide assistance to physicians as needed
    • Perform spirometry and breathing tests as ordered
    • Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
    • Provide patient education when appropriate
    • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
    • Facilitate prescriptions for patients as ordered by physicians or nurse practitioners
    • Administer allergy injections to shot patients as scheduled
    • Monitor patients' medical status for possible adverse reactions following receipt of allergy injections
    • Maintain emergency equipment, including oxygen, crash carts, and supplies
    • Assess and evaluate patient problems over the phone using approved telephone triage protocols
    • Document calls thoroughly and close the loop between self, patient, and provider in a timely manner
    • Scribe for providers as requested or required
    • Follow standardized assisted documentation workflows
    • Obtain referrals and insurance authorizations as requested
    • Collaborate with patients, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members to achieve desired outcomes

    Other Responsibilities


    • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines
    • Maintain detailed knowledge of practice management and computer software relevant to job functions
    • Attend CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, and Compliance training programs as required
    • Participate in professional development activities
    • Complete all assigned tasks and projects
    • Comply with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies

    Restrictions


    • RNs, LPNs, and LVNs will work within their scope of practice as outlined by their state board of nursing
    • The following restrictions apply for all RNs, LPNs/LVNs and may not:
    • Dispense medications without a prescription
    • Administer medications without a doctor's order
    • Provide any type of patient care unless a provider is on site
    • Diagnose patients

    Typical Physical Demands


    The position requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination

    The employee will stand and walk regularly and occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds

    Normal visual acuity and hearing are required


    Typical Working Conditions


    The employee will have potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, needle sticks, and other conditions common to a clinic environment


    Qualifications


    • High School Degree or GED required
    • A current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN, LPN, or LVN in the state employed or compact state
    • Minimum one year of work experience in a clinical setting
    • Understanding of OSHA guidelines for ambulatory practices
    • Experience communicating and interacting with physicians
    • Analytical ability strongly preferred
    • Ability to document in the electronic Medical Record, working knowledge of practice management and word processing software
