SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Licensed Social Worker will work on the inpatient Behavioral Health units and provide services to patients with acute mental disorders.
The Social Worker will complete biopsychosocial assessments, address psychosocial needs of patients, facilitate daily psychotherapy groups, coordinate discharge planning, maintain communication with family members and responsible parties regarding all aspects of patient care, act as contact person for various outside organizations and referring agencies.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, Rotating Weekends and HolidaysEDUCATION:
Bachelor of Social Work or related Bachelors Degree.
Masters Degree Highly Preferred
Ohio LSW or LPC required.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience working in the Behavioral Health setting
Experience in a hospital/inpatient setting
Experience facilitating Psychotherapy Groups
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to complete detailed biopsychosocial assessments.
Creative problem solving and critical thinking
Knowledge of mental health disorders and interventions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with physicians, patients, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience with PASRR, LOC and nursing home placement process
