Software Engineering Manager - Providence, United States - Strategic Employment Partners

Description

A 20 year old EdTech company with clients like Rutgers, Perdue, UConn, Temple, Howard, UNC and URI is looking to expand their engineering team by adding a new Engineering Manager.

You'll be heading up a local dev team of 3 devs, 2 QA and an offshore team of about 30 devs in India while reporting into a VP of Engineering.

The team uses LAMP Stack and AWS in production, you won't be hands on but you should be able to conduct code reviews when necessary and help plan the deployment process.

We are looking for solution oriented, collaborative managers who want to help their staff grow. This is full time, direct hire. 2 days a week in office.

Must Have Skills

3+ years managing engineering teams
Experience managing offshore teams
Experience with creating and deploying deployment pipelines
Positive and collaborative attitude

Nice To Have Skills

Experience with PHP/LAMP Stack
Experience in the EdTech industry
