    Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists (Clinical Fellows or ASHA-certified Speech Pathologists) with a passion for working with children with moderate to profound intellectual disabilities, and cross-categorical needs. Soliant is seeking a contract SLP who can support children in a Special Education school in the area of South Holland, IL.

    Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
    • Illinois SLP license
    • Professional Educators License for SLPs, issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (applicants who completed their graduate program in Illinois typically can request expedited processing for their applications)

    Additional information about the team and the program will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.

    As a education setting SLP, you will:

    • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
    • Determine eligibility for speech services, and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
    • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for childrenwith identified speech and language disorders.
    • Develop communication goals, and contribute to an Individual Education Plan, and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
    • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
    • Maintain accurate records for all childrenon the caseload.
    • Provide reports of children'sprogress to parents.
    • Organizecaseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
    • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
