    We are currently seeking an experienced process engineer to support our Lifecycle Services Team. Experience in Sanitary Process highly preferred; experience in managing projects desired.

    Job Purpose or Summary:

    A Process Engineer is responsible for producing designs of systems, process engineering calculations and deliverables, specifying and procuring equipment and leading system commissioning. The Process Engineer will also aid in proposal development.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Create and modify P&ID drawings.
    • Perform calculations that include, but are not limited to plant process utility analysis, heat transfer balance, piping pressure loss analysis, batch timelines & system mass balances.
    • Complete specification of process equipment and components.
    • Develop and manage comprehensive Bill of Material for purchase of specified equipment and components.
    • Direct customer and internal discussions to define scope requirements, assumptions, and exclusions.
    • Aid in and lead hands-on in strategic planning for comprehensive project activities across departments.
    • Cost Estimation of Equipment, components, and process engineering labor for proposal development.
    • Travel to different facilities and/or customer sites as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

    Experience/Training: 3-6 years of experience in a related field.

    Professional Skills

    • Technology Proficiency with PCs, Mobile Devices, Windows Operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to learn new software packages as required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present professionally to internal team members and external customers.
    • Takes initiative and is capable of developing solutions for complex problems.
    • Maintains high quality standards and provides dependable results for team members and customers.

    Physical / Working Demands

    • The work environment is a professional office environment where a conservative business dress code is in effect. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to type, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Equipment use includes computer, calculator, and telephone.
    • Ability to understand both spoken and written directions and good vision required.
    • Personal protective equipment required includes protective toed safety shoes and safety glasses with side shields (when on the manufacturing floor).
