    WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRINGSocial Services CoordinatorOur company is looking for a Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our team

    Responsibilities:


    Complete MDS documentation for Skin Condition (Section M) for all facility residentsEvaluates the effectiveness of nursing and other clinical education programsAttend staff meetings, in-service classes, and committee meetingsParticipate in weekly wound team roundsEstablishes competencies for clinicians regarding wound careCollaborates with other members of the Education Department on joint educational initiativesCollaborate amongst Interdisciplinary Team to encompass all aspects of care to promote wound healingAssist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for each assigned residentParticipate in the development and achievement of Wound Care Program and objectivesPerform all other duties as requestedCommunicate in a positive, caring, and helpful manner with residents, family members, and other staffDevelops educational modules for wound care to be used for internal and external education, including teaching tools for patients and familiesRespect the dignity of each personRequirements:Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantlyAbility to work and stand 80% of an 8-to-12-hour shiftCertified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment requiredExcellent presentation skills and organizational skills requiredWCC certification, CWCN, CWOCN or CWS is preferred or certification pending within one yearExcellent time management skillsAbility to perform effectively in fast-paced, stressful environmentExcellent physical assessment and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication skillsConfers with the Director of Nursing and/or other licensed nursing personnel regarding dermatologic disorders of residents in the facilityValid State RN License required.

    Previous geriatric nursing experience preferredCurrent RN license required
