    Position Summary:
    The Corporate Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the company's monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle, doing technical accounting research on any new products and transactions, creating monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, working with FP&A on financial reporting and forecasting needs, supporting annual audit and tax provision process, assisting in state and federal tax filing processes, and assisting in system implementations and process improvements

    Essential Job Functions:

    Lead and manage a team of 2-3 accountants in a manner that promotes teamwork, encourages collaboration, and embraces the idea of continuous improvement.

    Contribute to the development of a system of internal controls that safeguard the Company's assets and ensure the completeness and accuracy of the Company's financial statementsMonitor and adjust the workload and business processes used by team members to maximize efficiency, employ checks and balances and leverage new technology and capabilities.

    Continuously strive for improvement and automation where necessary.

    Identify opportunities to automate and streamline routine activities in an effort to run the organization more effectively as the company scalesPerform accounting research on new products or unusual transactionsAssist in the production of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packages and presentation of results to Finance leadership.

    Support other managerial and ad hoc reporting requests as needed.

    Assist FP&A with forecastingProvide support to external auditors and tax representatives to ensure deadlines are met and requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.

    Actively participate in facilitating the annual financial audit including preparing and compiling PBCs and responding to auditor requests and questions.

    Prepare draft financial footnotesAssist in sales tax filings through Avalara, and work with the Company's tax consulting firm for state and federal tax filings and annual provision calculation.

    Support ad-hoc projects as needed and other duties as assigned

    Position Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeA minimum of seven or more years of progressive accounting experienceA minimum of three years of managerial experience with the ability to motivate, train and develop a staff in a team environmentStrong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, practices, and proceduresCPA required, ideally with experience in a Big 4 companyExperience in Sage Intacct, Coupa and/or Avalara a plusAt Truckstop we are dedicated to creating a workplace that is equitable, inclusive, and inspiring for every employee.

    In an effort to provide greater transparency, we are sharing the base salary range for this position. The position is also eligible for a yearly bonus.

    Final salary is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
    $110,000$125,000 USD The above description covers the most significant duties performed but does not include other related occasional work that may be assigned or is completed by the employee.
