- Plans and creates menus and corresponding menu prices
- Develops and tests recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation to ensure consistent high quality and to minimize food costs
- Conducts regular physical inventories of food supplies, and assess projected needs; orders all necessary food and supplies
- Hires, trains, and mentors staff to ensure continuous growth through training, developing, direction, assessing performance, and providing feedback
- Safeguards all food preparation employees by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles
- High School Diploma or GED
- Culinary Arts Degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- 2 to 3 years of Sushi preparation experience
- CPR/AED certification within first 30 days of hire
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with knives and other kitchen tools
