- Undertake routine and emergency maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning systems to ensure optimum performance and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in various systems, focusing on chillers and refrigeration units, while staying proficient in HVAC system components.
- Conduct overhauls on compressors and other critical components to enhance reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with marine engineers to optimize refrigeration layouts and schedules, aiming to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of technical procedures, system modifications, and compliance checks.
- Provide expert guidance and training to junior technicians, emphasizing the nuances of marine refrigeration systems.
- Stay updated on technological advancements in marine refrigeration and HVAC systems to incorporate new techniques and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience as a Refrigeration Technician with specialized knowledge in various refrigeration systems.
- Proficiency in installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and overhauling complex refrigeration systems, with additional expertise in HVAC.
- Relevant certifications in HVAC and Refrigeration Technology, with a preference for those with marine applications training.
- Strong technical skills, including interpreting detailed schematics and operational manuals for marine refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Outstanding problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiently resolving technical issues in challenging marine environments.
- Excellent physical condition to meet the demands of working in marine settings.
