    Description

    Provides assistance in daily living and personal care in patients' homes in accordance with an established care plan.

    • Supports patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household items; preparing and serving meals and snacks and assisting with eating; running errands.
    • Assists patients by providing personal services such as grooming bathing and dressing.
    • Assists client with mobility/transfer, getting in and out of bed or chair and/or walking.
    • Assists client with ambulation and exercise.
    • Assistance with bill paying and other household management tasks.
    • Provides companionship to the client during the caregivers' absence.
    • Obtains emergency assistance if required.
    • Attends to the comfort and safety of the client during the caregivers' absence.
    • Follows the assigned plan of care and notifies staff nurse of changing or unusual conditions.
    • Participates in all scheduled in-service meetings.
    • Records patient information on Aide notes and submits timely.
    • Projects a professional image and attitude at all times.

    Requirements
    • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate issued from the state of Arkansas.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Reliable transportation and proof of state required vehicle insurance.
    • Current negative TB skin test or state health card.
    • Certified in CPR/First Aid.
