DMOS is seeking a Medical or PA student in their gap year, who may be interested in working in a clinic to gain experience to real world patient care. This position will provide support to one of our Hand & Upper Extremity providers and gaining knowledge while either attending or planning to attend medical or PA school. This is a part-time opportunity is located at our West Des Moines office and is scheduled Monday and Wednesday 7:30AM-5:00PM and Friday 7:30AM-12PM (or until the last patient leaves).PERKS: DMOS is based in West Des Moines Iowa, with clinics in Ankeny and Des Moines. Can I do this job?You must be able to be on your feet for periods of time that may seem unnatural. You may have to assist a patient with transfer. You are able to assist with suture or staple removal and wound care. You have great typing and computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice and use confidential information for patient care only. Patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic.
What does an outstanding Medical Intern have in terms of background?Successful candidates have completed an undergraduate, medical related degree. Are currently or planning to attend Medical or PA School.
