Lifesteps is hiring a Part-Time Children's Developmental Screener for Beaver County, PA.

Position Summary:

The Developmental Screener is responsible for scheduling, administering, scoring and interpreting developmental screenings for children ages birth to 5 years old.

This is a free service that we offer to the community.

This position is responsible for sharing the results of the screening to the parents in a professional, non-threatening manner and providing parents with information on developmental appropriate activities and child development.

The Developmental Screener works in the office in Beaver, PA and also travels to locations throughout Beaver County to conduct screenings for children at places such as libraries, schools, daycares, child care facilities, pediatric doctor offices, etc.

The screener connects the parent or guardian with options for internal services or community resources.

Lifesteps is committed to fulfilling our mission so that all children have access to a comprehensive screening to determine if the child is developing appropriately for their age, as the first five years of life are crucial for physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development.

This part-time position works Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. No Evenings, weekends, or Holidays


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Special Education, Speech Language Pathology, Family Studies, Psychology or a similar Human Service field OR a High School Diploma/GED and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business with personal vehicle. Mileage Reimbursement provided.

Preferred:

• Child Development Assessment experience.
