    ABOUT THE ROLE

    As a Clinical Health Advocate reporting to the Local Ops Leader, you will play a pivotal role in patient care, building strong relationships and spearheading collaborative care plans that make a real difference in patients' lives. We are seeking team members who excel at connecting with people, enjoy assisting others, and possess strong problem-solving skills.


    • Establish trust and rapport with patients to understand their needs deeply. Utilize motivational interviewing, health coaching, and other patient-focused strategies to enhance health outcomes.
    • Collaborate with healthcare experts such as physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers to devise innovative solutions that assist patients in achieving their health objectives and overcoming social obstacles.
    • Become a central point of contact for our patients, cultivating and reinforcing relationships within the community.
    • Deliver and facilitate patient care through various mediums including video, phone, and face-to-face interactions. While stringent Covid safety measures are in place, including screenings and PPE, this role entails in-person visits in the community and homes.
    • Act as Galileo's on-ground support, offering clinical assistance such as vitals monitoring, phlebotomy, vaccine administration, wound care, and medication management within the defined scope of practice.

    The Clinical Health Advocate position requires in-person presence to support patients in Birmingham, AL, and surrounding areas.



    We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications or equivalent experience:
    • 1-2 years of LPN, CMA, or Paramedic experience, including proficiency in vitals monitoring, phlebotomy, and administering injections.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with diverse individuals, including those with complex needs.
    • Strong problem-solving skills to empower others, coupled with exceptional organizational abilities that foster trust and dependability among colleagues and patients.
    • Clear communication skills, especially the ability to simplify complex concepts.
    • Deep connections within diverse communities and a passion for driving positive change.
    • A service-oriented mindset with a track record of providing exceptional experiences, reflecting genuine joy in assisting others.
    • Proficiency or willingness to learn motivational interviewing and health coaching techniques.
    • Access to reliable transportation as mileage reimbursement is provided for home-based care visits.
    • Full vaccination compliance, including COVID-19 booster, for the safety of patients and staff.

    Compensation Range: $30/hour based on experience and market conditions.



    Physical Requirements: This role may require standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as lifting objects up to 20 pounds. Tasks may involve bending, reaching, and kneeling.


    Travel Requirements: Approximately 80% of your time will be spent in the field and at the market's HQ, focusing on patient care and team collaboration. Some travel across the market may be necessary.
