WHY THE GEORGE...

The George is a 56-room upscale, boutique hotel located at 615 Front Street Georgetown, SC (corner of Front & Queen Streets) that began development in February 2022 and opened March The property will offer visitors and locals an unparalleled waterfront dining and lodging experience at an unsurpassed location within the charming historic, colonial seaport town of Georgetown, South Carolina. In addition to fifty-six rooms and suites, the property will offer a full-service restaurant and bar on the Front Street side of the property, and will feature waterfront event space, a waterfront bar and activity lawn for lounging, games, and events. The George will have direct marina access affording boaters and opportunity to enjoy the hotels' amenities and guests an opportunity to access charter vessels for fishing, eco-excursions, and sailing in the Winyah Bay and surrounding areas. THE ROLE...

As a bartender, you love a fast-paced environment and shaking up cocktails is your specialty. In your downtime, you enjoy connecting with your bar guests and making a lasting impression.

What we will ask of you:

• Create, prepare, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes while tending to bar patrons
• Receive orders and serve food to guests dining at the bar
• Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner and assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies in addition to required side work
• Always remain educated on our menu offerings and respond promptly to any requests or questions about our menus, dietary restrictions and other restaurant functions and services
• Prepare and present final bill, process payment, and report all gratuities received to comply with the IRS standards of reporting income

Requirements

Requirements for Success:

• Be 21 years of age or older with 1-2 years of prior bartending experience
• Have a positive energy, be ready to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
• A flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
