- Performing general repair and maintenance work including painting and other miscellaneous tasks.
- Observing, recording and bringing to management's attention all equipment malfunctions.
- Assisting in all phases of business unit functions.
- Conducting complete vessel equipment inspections and informing appropriate staff of unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Perform light electrical repairs.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs.
- Perform maintenance and inspection of HVAC equipment.
- Repair and Install HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- General Experience with tools and basic repair required.
- Complete work in a timely and neat manner.
- Follow the instruction guidelines before every job.
- Handling other related functions as necessary.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
- One (1) year experience in a trade or general HVAC experience.
- FDNY RSOE-Q99 card holder preferred.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools properly and safely.
- Technologically competent - able to use computerized systems.
- Pre-employment and on-going random drug testing is required for all marine personnel.
- Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkers.
- Attention to detail and the ability to plan and organize.
- Capability of multi-taking and problem-solving skills.
- May be required to apply for a Transportation Workers ID Card.
- Per US Coast Guard regulations, you must be a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident.
