    Department Summary
    The School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) at UNTHSC has three multidisciplinary departments that include Physiology & Anatomy, Pharmacology & Neuroscience and Microbiology, Immunology & Genetics. Graduates of the SBS are leaders in biomedical sciences within academics and industry across the nation; serving as deans, department chairs and leaders in many professional organizations. The research areas are diverse and include cardiovascular, neuroscience, health disparities, vision science, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, nanotechnology, pharmacology, and numerous other areas.

    Position Overview
    The Academic Program Manager is responsible for performing program management duties in an assigned academic department or area. Facilitate the various actions required to successfully offer and conduct academic programs, manage the daily activities and perform program project management in the assigned area. Academic Program Managers are responsible for monitoring a budget and successfully offer and conduct academic programs, manage the daily activities and perform program project management in the assigned area.

    Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
    • Ability to analyze situations and data to implement appropriate solutions, and create assessment reports.
    • Detail and service oriented
    • Ability to multi-task
