    Description


    The world's largest semiconductor manufacturing company is looking for a Senior Safety (EHS) Engineer to join their team in Northern Phoenix, AZ.

    As a key contributor to the new semiconductor foundry construction project (building 6 fabs and supporting structures for 1200 acres), you will assist with the creation and continuous improvement of an ISO 14001 Environmental Protection Management System and an ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system.

    You will help establish the EHS culture, enhance the EHS program, and ensure the Fab is in full compliance with all applicable EHS regulation and requirements.

    This includes facilitating EHS training in order to enhance awareness for employees and contractors, conduct Job Hazard Assessments, perform workplace evaluations, implement corrective EHS actions, review new Fab processes for EHS compliance , evaluate new fab machinery, and inspect waste management status.

    You will help communicate inspection results (and recommendations) and EHS performance to all levels, as well as organize Fab site Safety Committee activities.

    This will be a hands on EHS role, and not just oversight of personnel. Day to day will be half in the field, and work is conducted in inside and outside environments.

    This will be a full time, permanent opportunity with full benefits and 401K


    Salary:
    $120K -$150K +18% annual bonus. Relocation Bonus available if needed.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Bachelors Degree required
    • 5+ years' experience in environmental engineering, safety engineering, and regulatory compliance practice.
    • Experience in semiconductor, industrial, oil/gas, electronics manufacturing, or other chemically intensive manufacturing industries (in the US).
    • Knowledge of current safety and loss control practices.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications.
    • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal), across functional departments and with external customers, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Be able to effectively work independently and as a team player to resolve ESH issues.
