    Job Title: Adjunct Instructor- TMA - Costuming Design and Technology (TMA 315R & 468R)

    Job Classification: Adjunct Faculty- Teaching; Day and or Evening courses, BYU Provo campus

    Start date of this position: August 26, 2024

    Required Degree: BA or BFA

    The required degree must be completed by the start date.

    Preferred Degree: MFA in Costume design, construction, or related field.

    Experience: 1+ years university teaching experience in costume technology (sewing, costume crafts, etc.). We also are interested in reviewing applications from candidates who have accomplished notable teaching outside of university settings.

    Duties/Expectations: Successful candidates will teach TMA 315R Special Projects (Costuming) and 468R - Specialty Costumes (Costume Construction or Crafts). They may also mentor student designers through the theatre design process on theatre season productions.

    Instructor must be an engaging and clear teacher, able to lead effective class discussions, and give students constructive and concise feedback. Instructor is expected to be available for faculty meetings and office hours as required for student consultations.

    Must reside in the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration. Must be willing to teach the course(s) in person, on campus.
