Resource Geoscientist
We are seeking a Resource Geoscientist to join the Salt Lake City core warehouse facility. This technical role focuses on detailed drill core logging, core processing workflows, and geological data management to support multiple exploration projects.
PERKS AND BENEFITS:

• Compensation $75,000 - $95,000
• Contract role with high extension potential (initial 6 months, March-August 2026)
• 1-week paid Salt Lake City onboarding, including laptop setup and safety training
• Opportunity to work on active copper exploration projects with major mining company

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Perform detailed, high-resolution drill core logging on core received from field projects, characterizing lithology, structure, alteration, and mineralization features
• Oversee the complete core processing workflow: receive core boxes, verify chain-of-custody, mark sample intervals and tickets, and prepare core for cutting
• Coordinate or perform core photography and geophysical measurements
• Direct the Core Cutter on cutting, bagging, labeling, and dispatching samples to laboratories
• Enter geological data, measurements, and observations into corporate databases
• Work with the data management team to integrate data, resolve issues, and prepare summary outputs or reports for project teams

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
• 4+ years of geoscience experience
• Strong geological logging skills and attention to detail in sample tracking and documentation
• Experience with geological databases
• Awareness of warehouse safety practices and physical ability to handle core boxes and equipment
