Essential FunctionsBasic computer skills Ability to work overtime with little or no noticeAdvanced knowledge of blueprints and sketch interpretations to ensure proper fit and finish to partsSkilled at identifying and measuring appropriate surface finishes Use appropriate tools to deburr and sketch partsAbility to set basic off-sets and efficient at probes for off-setOperate lathe and 3-axis milling machines Construct basic machine "G" codes and identify crash movesConstruct touch off points and set tool lengthsAdvanced knowledge of machining terminologyAdvanced knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools Identify safety issues and adhere to all HSE policies and practices without promptingBasic knowledge of and practice of 5S Knowledge of Lean Methods and practiceDemonstrated good verbal and written communication skillsDiagnose and trouble shoot equipment and process related problemsAbility to rework damaged parts work under general supervision Other duties as assigned by managementRequirementsExperience / KnowledgeHigh School Diploma or equivalent3 years' experience in CNC machining or Machining Certificate from accredited VotechMachining Certificate from accredited Votech preferredMust be able to lift up to 30 poundsProgramming knowledge preferredWork EnvironmentRegular exposure to moving mechanical components, airborne fumes, and particlesExposure to heat, cold, wet and snow conditionsModerate noise levels
