    The person in this role has the opportunity to make a positive impact supporting the Payroll Teams payroll tax activities for approximately 4500 employees. The successful applicant for this role has advanced working experience with federal, state, and local payroll tax administration for a multi-entity organization.

    *This is a hybrid-office position and requires regular attendance in our Minnetonka, MN offices*

    Skills:
    • Working ADP Smart Compliance Knowledge.
    • ADP EV6 and Workday payroll experience preferred.
    • Proven work experience in 1000+ employee, US multi-FEIN, multi-state, and local payroll tax administration.
    • Microsoft Suite, Teams, One Note, Outlook.
    • Advanced in Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and formulas).
    • 3+ Years of direct experience working in Payroll Tax.
    • Acute attention to detail.
    • Ability to work with confidential information.
    Essential Functions:
    • Research and assist in resolving payroll tax notices in a timely manner.
    • Advanced knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure compliance.
    • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates systems and processes accordingly.
    • Perform ongoing audits to identify and resolve compliance issues.
    • Collaborate with the Payroll Team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll tax liabilities.
    • Demonstrate advanced payroll tax knowledge and able to communicate effectively, internally, and externally, regarding tax issues.
    • Reconcile state withholding taxes and state unemployment taxes monthly, quarterly, and annually.
    • Review payroll tax deposits to ensure accurate and timely remittance.
    • Partner with Payroll Tax Manager in the completion of payroll tax registrations.
    • Validation and submission of required tax filings accurately and within deadlines.
    • Produce payroll tax amendments, and corrections for state and federal and local returns.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders including, Finance, HR, and Benefits, to address payroll tax related inquiries and issues.
    • Tax testing experience, for tax updates and payroll system integrations.
    • Troubleshoot system issues related to payroll tax calculations.
    • Partner with the Payroll Tax Manager in the preparation of ADP tax invoices for the monthly general ledger.
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance payroll tax processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
    • Assist in maintaining comprehensive documentations of payroll tax processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Completion of ad hoc projects and tasks as required.
    • Generating and filing W2 corrections.
    • Enter and update account numbers, unemployment rates, and deposit frequencies in both the payroll and tax system.
    • Key stake holder in Internal and External Audits.
    • Update Employee Tax Withholding Forms as required.
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Human Resources, or equivalent experience.
    • Certified Payroll Certification CPP preferred.
    Physical/Mental Demands:
    • Ability to work with confidential information.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and be flexible with disruptions throughout the workday.
    • Repetitive and continual typing motion is required.
