As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice.
Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses.
All new hire registered nurses at Regions Hospital will be automatically enrolled. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. Our state-of-the-art Birth Center was built in 2020.Featuring 160,000 square feet - 13 Labor and Delivery rooms, 2 operating rooms, 24 Postpartum rooms, and 7 NICU rooms.
Our Level 2 NICU features 7 private rooms including 1 twin room for a total of 8beds, each with an adjoining family space and bathroom to keep families connected.
Regions Hospital is one of the few hospitals in the country to feature the Enhanced Couplet Care model.5 of our Postpartum rooms are outfitted with a full NICU headwall, allowing a subset of our NICU babies to stay in the Postpartum room with their families and avoid separation.
This evidence-based model of care provides many benefits including improved weight gain, more effective feedings, and fewer hospital readmissions.The Birth Center at Regions has approximately 2800 births annually with 15-20% of babies requiring some amount of NICU-level care.
We are dedicated to diversity and inclusion, with 60% of our patient population being people of color, and 25% requiring interpreters for their care.
Work Schedule:
0.70 Evening/Night. Every other weekend. All 8 hour shifts.
Required Qualifications:
*Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers *Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
*BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *Previous OB experience preferred *One year of acute care RN experience is preferred Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
