    Join our team as a Variable shift, PRN, Nurse Extern in Tyler, TX.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for executing authorized tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

    Additionally, performs essential nursing duties such as patient care, reporting patient conditions, situations, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness.

    The nurse extern must exhibit the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate care based on the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.


    Conditions:
    May need to work non-traditional schedules. Potential exposure may include hazardous materials/situations like blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and infectious diseases.

    Qualifications


    Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; must be enrolled in an Accredited Nursing Program with expected completion within 24 months from the hire date.
    • Required to be in good academic standing in your Accredited Nursing Program
    • Proficiency in Medical Technology, Anatomy and Physiology
    • Currently enrolled and maintaining good academic standing in a professional nursing program
    • CPR certification
