- Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for manufactured components, adhering to customer specifications and relevant industry standards, such as ASME.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify and address potential quality issues.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare reports using statistical process control (SPC) methods to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Review and approve manufacturing documentation, including drawings, procedures, and non-conformance reports.
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing personnel, and suppliers to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of relevant quality standards.
- Manage and maintain quality control records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits of quality control processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Interface with external regulatory bodies during inspections and audits, if applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or similar
- Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ASME standards and their application to manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with welding procedures and quality control practices for welded products (a plus).
- Experience with quality control principles, inspection techniques, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (a plus).
- Proficiency in using quality control software and data analysis tools (e.g., SPC software).
- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
