GSOC Specialist - Lexington, United States - Control Risks

Description

Control Risks is looking for a GSOC Specialist to support our client's 24/7/365 GSOC.

This role will facilitate the Client's crisis management response, coordinate incident escalations, and emergency communications to site-, regional-, and enterprise-level global security leadership.

This position will cover the client's Night Shift (10:00 pm-8:00 AM Tuesday-Friday).

Monitor worldwide events; identify events with the potential to impact the Client's personnel, assets, and operations.

Examples of relevant event categories include, but are not limited to:
natural disasters, transportation disruptions, political instability, terrorism, and crimeDraft and review concise notifications for distribution to the Client's decision-makers and global security leadersCollaborate with a cross-functional team of other global security professionals in support of the GSOC's 24/7/365 operationsFacilitate the Client's crisis management response; coordinate incident escalations and emergency communications to site, regional, and enterprise-level global security leadershipConduct detailed written and verbal situation briefings to global security executives and higherImplement and support GSOC operating procedures and best practices to drive business goals and objectivesParticipate in training and exercises to ensure GSOC team proficiency and compliance with standard operating proceduresConduct after-action reviews (AARs) to identify lessons learned and best practicesManage the implementation of new services, tools and applications support the GSOC operationsDevelop effective relationships with internal dependency partners; primarily IT and HRWork with the Client's Global Security team and vendorsAbility to collaborate with Global Security's Protective Services and Systems & Technology teamAbility to exhibit diplomacy, professionalism, and calm under pressure during critical incidents

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, Security Studies, International Affairs, Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Journalism or related field1+ years' experience in government, corporate security or a similar roleExperience working with global risk intelligence and incident response software.

Experience with emergency mass notification systemsExperience with travel risk management software platformsExperience working in a collaborative environment such as government or corporate global security operations center, emergency operations center, or a major urban area fusion centerExperience working with geographic information systems such as ArcGIS and Google EarthExperience evaluating open-source information (media, social media, and unclassified government websites) to conduct incident analysisExperience using business intelligence and visualization software such as Tableau and Microsoft PowerBI
