    Job Title: PARKING SUPERVISOR FTYR

    Department: Parking

    Reports To: Parking & Fleet Manager

    Rate of Pay: $13.00-$16.00/hour DOE

    Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM/ 5AM to 6:00PM (often 24 hour on call shifts during snow season)

    Weekends, holidays and special events are required based on business needs.

    Full Time Year Round

    SUMMARY

    Works with Parking Attendants and Shuttle Drivers to create an inviting, safe, organized, and efficient sense of arrival and departure for guests.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Competently perform all duties of a Parking and Shuttle Attendant.

    Assist in the organization and creation of department schedule for Parking staff.

    Plan and direct work of Parking department employees, as needed.

    Engage socially and interact well with Sundance guests and general public being the example of guest service.

    Train staff on all vehicle maintenance and inspections; guest parking standards; and safety protocols.

    Document new hire and on-going training.

    Ensure overall successful, professional communication within department using two-way-radios, etc.

    Conduct weekly and bi-monthly vehicle checks.

    Operate backhoe, summer theater tractor, shuttles, pioneers and any other required vehicles.

    Assist with fleet maintenance as needed.

    Assist in hiring and training new crew members.

    Complete all administrative duties and tasks as assigned in a timely manner.

    Oversee the department in the absence of Parking & Fleet Manager and Parking Supervisor.

    Ensure vehicle damage and accidents are immediately reported to Safety and Parking & Vehicle Fleet Manager.

    Follow protocol for reporting employee injuries.

    Ensure stamps for the employee carpool incentive are in the proper locations for Parking & Shuttle Attendant usage.

    Coordinate and carry out set up and take down of holiday decorations in a timely manner.

    Reinforce No Idling Policy for resort vehicles.

    Support recycling program.

    Share the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitments as the opportunity arises.

    ALL SUNDANCE REPRESENTATIVES ARE EXPECTED TO

    Embrace and promote all facets of the Sundance Guiding Principles: vision, mission, service standards, and values.

    Exhibit job and product knowledge to accurately support and promote all Sundance departments, amenities and programming ventures.

    Be flexible to meet business demands, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time appropriately.

    Work with a broad based constituency and provide excellent service to all internal and external guests.

    Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

    Keep information confidential as directed in the confidentiality agreement.

    Support and comply with all Sundance policies, procedures, and standards.

    Protect Sundance assets.

    Be a positive ambassador of Sundance inside and outside of work.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Complete all applicable paperwork for the above responsibilities and submit to HR in a timely manner.

    ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

    Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position, for example: minimize waste, recycle, conserve energy, purchase and use sustainable products, educate co-workers/guests on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar environmental ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats, car-pool with colleagues and coworkers to minimize carbon emissions. All employees are invited to participate in environmental or Sundance Preserve sponsored events.

    DRESS CODE

    Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. As representatives of Sundance all employees including mangers are expected to be in compliance with the Dress Code determined for his/her department as defined in the job description or follow the standards below.

    In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

    All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.

    Employees are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.

    Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).

    Blue jeans are permitted.

    Men's shirts must be tucked in.

    Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle.

    A tailored fit is required of all clothing.

    Tank tops, halter tops tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.

    Sleeveless shirts are permitted for females.

    Bare midriffs are prohibited.

    Proper footwear for your department is required.

    Dress sandals are permitted for females.

    Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.

    Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn. Ops.)

    Fashion sneakers are allowed within department approved parameters.

    If your department allows t-shirts, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.

    If your department allows baseball caps, they must be in good condition and have appropriate Sundance logos.

    If your department allows beanies, they must be in good condition and Sundance branded.

    Employees working in retail outlets may wear t-shirts and caps that are sold in their area if no uniform is provided.

    Accommodations

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    High school, GED, or equivalent required and 3 to 5 years related experience, education and, or training. Must have at least 2 years previous supervisory experience in related industry. Commercial Driver License is preferred, but not required at time of offer (class and training may be provided) and must have previous vehicle fleet maintenance and operation experience

    TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

    Must possess a working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and electronic mail.

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines;

    Commercial Drivers' License with passenger rating, Class C, if driving mini-bus off property.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnishes in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
