What we need

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Mobile Robotics Electrical Engineering team. This role drives innovation throughout the team, engineering products from concepts, design, test, production, and beyond. The individual will lead highly talented Mechanical, Embedded, Compliance, Systems, and Project Engineers.

What we do

We are a fast-growing team designing mobile robots with a focus on new product development. Work cross functionally with other engineering leaders to define requirements, architecture, specifications, PCA design, and initial robot bring up.

What you'll do

Lead the electrical engineering activities in all phases from specification and design to implementation and verification/validation testing.
Play a hands-on role as part of the engineering teams developing solutions.
Be a proactive communicator who enjoys working closely with creative and technical peers.
Lead generation of detailed electrical schematics, PCB layout, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for PCA's.
Chief participant in research, analyses, and down-selection of solutions for electrical system designs.
Responsible for managing technical activities for assigned projects and design integration with electro-mechanical and software systems.
Play a lead role in coaching and providing guidance for other electrical engineers on the team.
Travel to customer sites to support new installations. Travel up to 20%.

What you'll need

Bachelors or master's in electrical engineering or related degree.
12+ years of relevant experience in the field of electrical design.
Self-starter and highly motivated.
Hands-on problem solver
Knowledge of local and national standards is a plus (UL, EN, IEC).
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and get along with others.
