- Structured Learning: Nurse residents will engage in a structured curriculum as part of program (8 hours of learning every 2 months for 12 months) that covers essential skills like time management, interprofessional teaming, communication, wellbeing, social determinants of health, critical thinking, and more This program aims to deliver a confident, competent graduating cohort.
- Mentorship: Each resident will encounter several mentorship opportunities throughout the program to claim the guidance, support, and valuable insights needed to thrive.
- Networking: Residents can connect with their peers, build relationships, and collaborate on practice-based learning opportunities.

- RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
- Establish and implement nursing care plans for assigned patient populations through assessment, development, activation, evaluation, and discharge.
- Conducts ongoing assessments as determined by patient's condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
- Organize, assigns, and supervise duties and responsibilities of other staff members as a team leader.
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

The University of Minnesota Medical Center represents an integrated academic health care system and is comprised of two hospitals and dozens of adult specialty clinics on both the East and West banks of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis.
As a Medical Surgical Float Pool RN you will float to the Medical/Tele, Transplant, Neuro, Surgical, Oncology and Emergency Observation units.
About This Position:
This is a:
* .75 FTE (60 Hours worked every two weeks)
* $2.00 extra per hour weekend shift differential
* $2.00 extra per hour float pool differential
* $4.00 extra per hour night shift differential
