    We are seeking a highly skilled SAFe Agile Implementation Consultant to support a Program Executive Office (PEO) Enterprise Information System (PEO EIS) project.

    This role involves facilitating the successful transition of their development processes from a waterfall methodology to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, enhancing their capabilities in agile practices, and delivering high-quality solutions efficiently.

    This will require coordination with two different project teams, sustainment (which is maintaining the existing HR baseline) and payroll (building out the future payroll capabilities).


    Responsibilities:

    Agile Coaching:
    Guide and mentor teams on SAFe principles, roles, and practices. Assist in the development and implementation of Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

    Framework Implementation:
    Implement SAFe practices across various teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and seamless integration with existing processes.

    Training and Development:

    Conduct SAFe training sessions for teams and stakeholders to build a solid understanding of the framework's practices and benefits.


    Change Management:
    Lead change management initiatives to transition teams from traditional to agile methodologies. Address and resolve resistance and challenges encountered during the implementation process.

    Process Improvement:
    Continuously evaluate and improve agile practices, workflows, and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

    Stakeholder Collaboration:

    Work closely with project managers, developers, and external stakeholders to ensure that agile practices align with business objectives and project timelines.


    Reporting and Analytics:
    Monitor, measure, and report on the progress and success of agile implementation using key performance indicators (KPIs).

    Risk Management:
    Identify risks associated with the agile transition and develop mitigation strategies.

    Feedback Loop:
    Establish regular feedback sessions with teams and stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation of processes.

    Qualifications:
    Secret security clearance
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or other equivalent degree.
    Certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or similar relevant certification.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing SAFe in large-scale IT projects.
    Minimum 3 years of Public Sector experience
    Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in coaching and training teams.
    Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
    Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

    Desired Skills:
    Experience with PeopleSoft applications or similar ERP systems.
    Familiarity with DoD, particularly in the PEO EIS or IPPS-A environments.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Location:

    Hybrid:
    remote and on-site in Crystal City, VA twice per week.
