- Plan, develop, and execute creative and age-appropriate Jewish curriculum and enrichment, including Jewish culture, holidays (e.g., Purim, Shavuot, Sukkot, and Hanukkah), traditions, and introductory Hebrew language, at the Early Childhood School.
- Develop content and provide internal Jewish education trainings and initiatives for the ECS teachers and staff, Camp at the J campers and staff, JCC Staff and the board of trustees.
- Build, plan, and execute initiatives to engage the Jewish community in Cincinnati, inside and outside of Mayerson JCC.
- Become immersed in the Cincinnati Jewish Community to assess needs and share engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with staff, lay leaders, and Jewish organizations and institutions locally and nationally to build unity and synergy around Jewish life programs and events and present engaging programming around major Jewish holidays.
- Develop programs that can meet people where they are Jewishly and take them to the next step in their Jewish journey and ensure an impactful Jewish presence inside the JCC.
- Work closely with the Community Shlichim (Israeli Emmisary) to support our Israeli community and create Jewish engagement with matters related to Israel.
- Plan, develop, and implement Israeli cultural programs for youth and adults in collaboration with Jewish Federation's Israel Department and JCRC including, but not limited to Yom HaAtzmaut and Yom HaZikaron.
- Develop and manage budgets for respective areas of oversight.
- Other related duties as required or directed.
- Pay $60,000 annual POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Judaic Studies or Jewish Education.
- Experience designing and developing programming, curriculum, and educational content.
- Deep knowledge of and passion for Jewish culture and traditions.
- Demonstrated success as a Jewish educator for different demographics.
- Desire to work with young children and older adults.
- Positive, dynamic, contagious love for Jewish Life.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Principal Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARYThe Jewish Educator will bring innovation and creativity to how Judaism is experienced at the Mayerson JCC. This person will develop and strengthen Jewish learning and engagement through content, curriculum and atmosphere, both within the Early Childhood School and across the Mayerson JCC. This role will report both to the Early Childhood School (ECS) Director and Programming Director, as their efforts are focused within the ECS and across the entire community center. This position serves as the Jewish education ambassador and resource for our ECS (i.e., our youngest learners, their families, teachers) and the broader JCC (i.e., staff, members, community). Across the JCC, this position will create positive exposure to and experiences of Jewish values and traditions. Efforts include a variety of activities and curriculum with overt Jewish content that bring Jewish and non-Jewish participants together to fulfill the J's mission to connect people so that they can live happier and fuller lives, creating a more vibrant Jewish community.
