    About the Position

    LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Arizona

    We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician for an engaging 90-day assignment in Arizona, beginning Mar 30, 2026. This vital role involves day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, focusing on comprehensive hospitalist cases.

    Responsibilities include managing direct admissions from the OR and outpatient settings, handling transfers, conducting consults and rounds, and overseeing a wide range of medical conditions from cardiovascular to post-surgical management.

    Responsibilities and Duties
    Manage direct admits from the operating room and outpatient settings, as well as transfers from outlying facilities.
    Conduct consults and rounds for all hospitalist cases.
    Oversee post-surgical management.
    Manage conditions such as alcohol withdrawal and delirium.
    Treat heart failure.
    Administer vasoactive and heparin drips.
    Co-manage insulin drips with the ICU group.
    Handle typical admits including pneumonia, respiratory infections, cardiovascular, infectious disease, endocrinology/renal, pulmonary, and GI conditions.
