At Denteek, you will play a crucial role in promoting and maintaining oral health for patients by providing preventative dental care and educating them on proper oral hygiene practices. You will work closely with our dentist to deliver high-quality dental services to our patients.

Full or Part Time available. Signing Bonus for Full Time candidates

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing, to remove plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
• Conduct dental assessments and screenings to identify oral health issues such as gum disease, cavities, and oral cancer.
• Take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes, under the supervision of a licensed dentist.
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants to protect teeth from decay.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary habits that promote oral health.
• Provide personalized recommendations for at-home oral care products and techniques tailored to patients' needs.
• Perform periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records to track treatment progress and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patient care.
• Collaborate with other members of the dental team to coordinate patient care and follow-up appointments.
• Stay current with advancements in dental technology, techniques, and regulations through continuing education and professional development activities.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards in patient care and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with an associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene.
• Valid state licensure as a dental hygienist.
• Proficiency in performing dental cleanings, x-rays, and other routine dental procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients.
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate patient records.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and adhering to regulatory requirements in dental practice.
