    The NCA&TLandscape Architecture Program sits within the Department of NaturalResources and Environmental Design in the College of Agriculture andEnvironmental Design. As the only BLA or BSLA program at anHBCU, we graduate more African American landscape designers than anyother program. Our curriculum and teaching seek to nurture our students'unique perspectives while preparing them to succeed in practice without furthereducation. Realizing these goals requires a higher level of individualstudent engagement than typical at peer programs. Our faculty seethis as both the best part of the job and a time management challenge.     This is a fulltime non-tenure track 9-month position.

    The primary responsibilities for this positioninclude teaching undergraduate level courses, conducting research, studentadvising, student mentoring and recruitment, curriculum development, conductingscholarly activities and all other activities. Other responsibilities include,but are not limited to, engaging in accreditation procedures, programassessment and service to the department, College and University as needed.

    Skills Required:

    REQUIRED

    Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) or a closely related discipline with at least oneprofessional degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.Must possess a record of design, research/creative works and/or publication,demonstrating a positive trajectory of continued excellence appropriate for aresearch university.

    PREFERRED

    ·Teaching experience at the undergraduate level.

    ·A record of research or creative works.

    ·Familiarity with accreditation preparation andprocess.

    ·Ability to cultivate relationships with theprofessional community, the public, and related academic fields.

    ·Interest in student engagement and willingnessto adapt teaching and learning styles to student needs.
