- Collaborate with plastic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative assessments, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments, obtaining informed consent, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Assist in the operating room by providing surgical support, including positioning patients, sterilizing equipment, and preparing surgical instruments.
- Work closely with the surgical team to anticipate the needs of the surgeon during procedures.
- Close up surgical incisions and wounds under the direction of the surgeon, ensuring optimal aesthetic outcomes and patient safety.
- Monitor patients during surgery and in the post-anesthesia recovery area, providing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Evaluate patients' progress during the post-operative period, assessing for complications and ensuring appropriate follow-up care.
- Provide patient education regarding post-operative care instructions, wound care, and potential complications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with specialization in plastic surgery or a related field preferred.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
