Mercy Flights is accepting applications for a part-time Staff Accountant.Staff Accountant will get a broad range of accounting experience related to the financial and accounting functions of the Organization, which include, but are not limited to, accounts payable; payroll; bank reconciliations; 5 FTE – hours/week (exempt), Monday – Friday

Reviews general ledger accounts. Ensures transactions result in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
# Performs account analyses and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, such as bank reconciliations.
# Works closely with other staff members to review all procedures related to financial transactions.
# Assists department leaders on various financial transactions and topics as needed to provide solutions.
# Supports and serves as back up to the accounts payable process including accurately coding and entering invoices, processing payments, communicating with vendors, and reconciling vendor statements, and collaborating with internal staff and managers.
# Review and approve invoices for proper documentation and account codes.
# Assists and serves as back up to the bi-weekly payroll process including auditing and computing time clock records, entering payroll and insurance deductions, and other related payroll tasks
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of direct accounting experience is required.
# Experience with NetSuite software is a plus
# Must have solid understanding and working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
# Knowledgeable in personal computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel including spreadsheets (intermediate to advanced Excel) and general ledger processing software
