    Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

    Location: Grove City, OH

    Description: Join our team at [School Name/District] in Grove City, OH, as a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). As an integral member of our special education team, you will work collaboratively to assess, diagnose, and provide intervention services to students with speech and language disorders. Your expertise will help support students' communication skills, enabling them to achieve success academically and socially.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatics.
    • Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, using evidence-based intervention techniques.
    • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational plans and promote generalization of skills.
    • Monitor students' progress regularly and adjust intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, progress notes, and other relevant data.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and involve them in the therapy process.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

    Certifications:

    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
    • Valid Ohio state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working as an SLP in a school or pediatric setting.
    • Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and assistive technology.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
