    Job Description:
    ACT1 Federal is seeking an Information Technology (IT)-Audio Visual (AV) specialist to support the Ted Stevens Center (TSC) for Arctic Security Studies, the newest of six Department of Defense Regional Centers
    This is a part-time, in-office position, with opportunity for occasional telework
    As an IT-AV Specialist, you will be entrusted with planning, pre-production, production and post-production of webinars, podcasts, distance learning and other in-person, virtual or hybrid activities, using available IT and AV equipment to provide a professional finished product for dissemination to a global audience Responsibilities:


    • Coordinating daily with the Government Multimedia Specialist and the TSC Strategic Communications Cell regarding overall tasking and support requirements.
    • Coordinating with TSC faculty and staff regarding the execution of distance learning and other multimedia presentations.
    • Planning, setup, production and post-production of webinars, podcasts and other multimedia presentations.
    • Providing distance learning support to the School of Arctic and Climate Security Studies, primarily using Zoom

    This includes transmitting slides, video and other graphics over Zoom, and requires utilization of the full suite of Zoom capabilities.


    • Assisting faculty and staff with understanding how to use Zoom and other platforms to conduct distance learning programs.
    • Providing video-teleconferencing support.
    • Providing advice and assisting with the establishment of standard operating procedures, checklists and instructions for how to run seminars, distance learning, webinars, podcasts and other AV related events
    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field and/or advanced training/certifications in AV and multimedia fields.
    • Experience managing distance learning programs for a think tank, college or university, or DoD regional center.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with AV equipment, to include computer systems designed for graphics processing, digital video display and switching devices, digital audio mixers and PC digital audio workstations.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with U.S
    Government computer systems and with knowledge of Department of Defense IT policies and regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Blender, Unreal Engine 5.0 (for live broadcasts), Adobe After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
    • Experience with BlackMagic, Roland, and OBX, digital audio mixers including Soundcraft and Neve mixers
    • Familiarity with Dante interfaces and Steinberg Nuendo software Benefits
