We are seeking a Process/Production Engineer for our Selko business line in Indianapolis, IN This role is responsible for designing, optimizing, troubleshooting and improving the effectiveness of our production processes.
You will lead innovative projects, reduce costs, ensure compliance regulations are met, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.You will play a crucial role in driving efficiency and qualitySelko, a Nutreco brand, provides specialty feed additives to optimize animal performance and customer value.

Driving the Production ProcessResponsibilities:
Process design Develop, configure and optimize our production processes from inception through start up and certification, researching and developing new equipmentCreate technical project objectives by drafting maintenance of CAPEX, improvement project proposals and plansEnsure project specifications in line with operations requirements, performance standards, complete and prepare technical studies and cost estimatesEvaluate and validate design alternatives to create optimum designsCertify technical accuracy of designs and make the financial business case Process management and troubleshootingLead the oversight of all production processes and support the day-to-day optimization of the production lines and processesAssist Production staff with troubleshooting problems; perform root cause analysis in case of (recurring) malfunctions, problems or other issues and offer solutions Monitor the performance of equipment, including regular testing and ensure maintenance tasks fulfilled ProjectsParticipate as a team member in a broad CAPEX assignment or lead project teams in CAPEX projectsSupport assigned installation and/or process improvement projects, within the project management guidelinesEnsure successful completion of the assigned project phases within the budgeted time and cost constraintsManage the installation and start-up of new process equipment and provide process documentation and operating instructionsContinuous improvementContinuous evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain highIdentify and implement improvements to the production systems, processes and practices to improve, optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output Technical leadershipStay abreast on the latest developments in process managementFunction as a technical consultant on production processes and contribute to the development of Nutreco technical standardsComplianceEnsure all process documentation conveys compliance with internal and external regulations Perform risk assessments on equipment and processes, cover all aspects of safety, health, food safety and all other HSE standards Signal potential hazardous and/or unsafe conditions, take appropriate actionSkills and Expertise Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a similar field 6-8 years' of Manufacturing Engineering Experience with MES, QMS and CAD software is preferredPMP experience, a value-addCollaboration with Operations Management, Maintenance and Technical ManagersFluency in EnglishUrgency, Prioritize, Ownership and Personal AccountabilityWhy you Will Love Working with Us:
