    Job Summary:


    • Practices under the supervision of the supervising physician and is responsible for reviewing records, preparing comprehensive histories, assessing primary health care needs, performing physical examinations, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, and coordinating care with team
    • May order and prescribe pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic interventions, and perform other therapeutic or corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status

    Required Education and Experience:


    • Degree in PA studies from an approved physician assistant program
    • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing OR Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
    • Gastroenterology experience is required

    Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:


    • Must have current Texas Physician Assistant license or Texas APRN license (FNP or AGPCNP)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
