    o The Material Mover Assembles & various types of Gaylord containers on & off of production lines using a forklift

    o Transports containers of product to the warehouse using a fork lift.

    Basic Qualifications:


    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must possess a valid driver's license
    • No experience required and on the job training provided
    • No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

    Preferred Qualifications:


    • One (1) year of similar work experience preferred
    Assembles & transports Gaylord size containers using a fork lift


    Essential Functions:

    • Obtains empty Gaylord containers and lids and or boxes from receiving.
    • Assembles totes & boxes & super-sacks and places them on pallets.
    • Loads empty assembled containers on production chopper conveyors prior to their filling cycle.
    • Removes full containers promptly when their filling cycle ends.
    • Transport containers to warehouse, or to the inspection area as designated.
    • Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs to equipment or operating systems.
    • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
    • Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
    • Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.

    Responsibilities:


    • Obtaining container parts, assembling them to meet production cycles.
    • Keeps assembly area clean.
    • Cleans chopper conveyors continuously throughout the shift.
    • Drives a fork truck to move all materials handled.
    • Transports product to warehouse (fork truck training available).
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned

    A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1.     Working knowledge of aerospace engineering processes, certification requirements, and familiarity with flight test operations. 2.     Working knowledge of FAR Part 23/25. 3.     Working knowledge of Microsoft Project software. 4.     Working knowledge of CAD (CATIA preferred) and PLM Systems (TeamCenter preferred) preferred. 5.     Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point) is required. 6.     Excellent communication skills and a self-starter that takes initiative without supervision. 7.     Able to effectively communicate and present to Senior Program and Engineering Leadership. 8.     Ability to work independently or within a team oriented environment.  Physical Requirements: 1.     Incumbents may be routinely exposed to equipment operational noise heat-cold-dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors. 2.     Incumbents may be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged time periods with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 3.     Work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.). 4.     Read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions, as required by job duties. 5.     Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions. 6.     Effectively communicate in Business English language. 7.     Pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties. 8.     Pull, push, carry, lift or move materials/people/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more during the work shift, with the use of Company provided “reach assistance technology” or “movement assist technology” (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, pulleys, dolly’s, robotics reach equipment, people movers etc.), as required by job duties.   The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
