Job Summary
Responsibilities include working with outside law enforcement agencies such as the FBI NYSP NYCPD Sheriff Departments local law enforcement Courts subpoenas Supervising assigned clerical technical staff evaluating work performance Particiating in interview selection process for hiring new staff Requesting criminal histories fingerprint cards via eJusticeNY Integrated Justice Portal Comparing fingerprint images Updating Excel Charts preparing reports as required by management Responding to correspondence by email mail phone Monitoring electronic mailbox for request of certified criminal histories certified fingerprint cards fingerprint comparisons Use scanners copiers Coordinate operation unit analyzing problems proposing solutions meeting other DCJS staff performing liaison duties other agencies Analyze data relates identification work supervisory function title Mailing certified criminal histories certified fingerprint cards fingerprint comparisons Preparing response letters requests certified criminal histories certified finger print cards finger print comparisons Using authorized biometric software read interpret update State federal criminal history records maintained DCJS Careful review documents prior dissemination Providing court testimony subpoenaed Travel approximately % will be required Excellent phone email communication skills knowledge Excel Adobe Word Outlook strong attention detail organizational skills Identifying resolving questions concerns staff requesting agencies Implement operational policies procedures associated SIB Training Cross-training staff new procedures changes policy Monitoring controlling employee workload reassigning necessary maintain workflow Perform weekly audits criminal history requests Certified Request Staff ORIs used unit Oversee complete special projects requested managementJob description
