The Addiction Treatment Therapy Aide is a responsible paraprofessional who works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor to provide patient group management and to assist counselors and therapists in designated activities; assist patients in completing therapeutic assignments; provide unit observation, and serve as a part of the treatment team.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalency, plus partial completion of requirements for admission to NYS CASAC certification examination, by either of the following means:
two years of CASAC acceptable work experience; or one hundred (100) hours of CASAC acceptable alcohol and substance abuse specific training.
