    Description of Work
    The Department of Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln ( UNL ) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The position is anticipated to emphasize research in biomedically relevant synthetic organic chemistry and would be affiliated with the Nebraska Center for Integrated Biomolecular Communication ( NCIBC ; ). NCIBC focuses on probing spatial and temporal aspects of chemical and biochemical communication. Possible areas include but are not limited to novel organic synthetic methodologies, natural product synthesis, catalysis, drug discovery, and/or medicinal chemistry. The successful candidate should demonstrate the capability of teaching in basic, advanced, and graduate-level chemistry courses. The anticipated start date is August 2024.

    Minimum Required Qualifications
    • Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, or an allied discipline.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Strong record of scholarly activity as evidenced by a significant publication record.
    • Potential for developing an externally funded research program in biomedically relevant chemical biology or synthetic organic chemistry.
    • Expertise in the teaching of chemistry content or pedagogy to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
