    Job Description

    Open Dental Assistant position available 4 days a week for family oriented dental office hours per week. We are looking for a Dental Assistant with experience and must have great energy and attitude. We are looking for someone that will work in harmony with our office environment, efficient, and pleasant for our team and patients. Must be experienced making temporaries and must be able to use the digital iTero scan. Previous knowledge of Eaglesoft software is a plus. Competitive salary $21-$27. based on skills and experience. Must have minimum 5 years of experience.

    Office hours include Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8:30am-5pm.

    Hours Shift: 8 hours

    Dental Assistant Duties:

    Responsible for assisting doctors in providing treatment. Assists the dentist and supports the office, including and not limited to the organization and maintenance of equipment, instruments, and supplies. Reports to the Office Manager. Duties include:

    • Demonstrates superior knowledge of all doctor systems and assisting processes
    • Bringing patients from check-in to the operating rooms
    • Breaking down and setting up rooms prior to treatment
    • Preparing patients for procedures
    • Giving doctors assistance during procedures
    • Providing assistance to the business staff as needed
    • Participation of morning huddles before any work day begins is expected
    • Supporting doctors in recording procedural codes in the information system
    • Stocking supplies and replenishment of treatment areas
    • Taking radiographs (x-rays) as needed and/or prescribed
    • Taking intra-oral and extra-oral pictures as needed and/or prescribed
    • Using dental technology such as digital scanners (e.g, iTero digital scanner)
    • Cleaning, sterilization, and storage of instruments
    • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and instruments
    • Cleaning and maintaining treatment room and staff lounge areas
    • Collection and preparation for disposal of medical waste
    • Office participation and professionalism:
    • Be kind and courteous to patients, staff, doctors, and others
    • Be an active participant in staff meetings
    • Perform tasks as assigned by the dentist or manager
    • Take initiative to identify and execute ways to continually improve individual and practice performance
    • To the extent possible, help others perform their tasks when overloaded or backed up or to otherwise increase the operational and emotional performance of the practice
    • Serve as backup to answer telephones, schedule, check-in, and check-out patients
