    North America Claims Operations provides support to the North America Claims organization in thought leadership and coordination across IT, Global CoE, legal, Finance, and strategic partners to Improve Outcomes, execute on initiatives and provide excellent customer service.

    About the role

    As the Director of Claims Operations, you will be responsible for managing all non-technical claims aspects of operations for the North America Claims line of business. In this critical role, you will partner with the business leadership team and functional support teams across the Claims organization to execute business and operational strategies, driving growth and efficiencies across the enterprise. This is a unique opportunity to employ your knowledge and experience doing high value, impactful work for an industry leader while working alongside some of the industry's top talent.

    What you need to know:
    • Align individual line of business (LOB) / geography vision and needs to NAM Claims objectives, define plans to drive forward progress and improvement and focus on strategic forward thinking as the claims industry evolves.
    • Drive a continuous improvement culture as well as initiatives across GI Claims, engaging closely with various key stakeholders and leaders to embed a collaborative approach to process optimization whilst acknowledging the differences across LOB.
    • Execute relevant GI Claims strategies, as set by the Claims Leadership Team (CLT), to deliver the core objectives for Claims, managing costs, timelines, quality, and providing excellent customer service.
    • Enable operational efficiencies by defining and implementing standard processes, tools and maintaining alignment across multiple teams and perspectives. Identify opportunities and develop novel solutions for material improvements, and present recommendations and actionable plan to leadership for approval and execute on the plan.
    • Work closely with our strategic partners, including IT, to ensure strong performance across NAM Claims, a seamless customer journey and alignment with key transformational initiatives being driven within NAM Claims. Assess migration opportunities across the NAM Claims platform working closely with the Claims leaders. Prioritize needs and work with the NAM Claims Operations Head to operationalize and facilitate smooth work migrations.
    • Lead, coach and optimize talent and ensure succession planning.
    What we're looking for:
    • 10+ years management experience overseeing large scale projects and daily operational needs.
    • A solid understanding of claims handling to recognize improvement opportunities and be credible with key claims stakeholders & managers.
    • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
    • Demonstrate strong business acumen and problem-solving skills who is process driven, forward thinker with a proven track record of delivering results.
    • Strong program management skills to drive teams, directly and indirectly, and initiatives whilst being detailed-oriented.
    • Career development, mentoring and coaching skills.
    For positions based in Jersey City, the base salary range is $93,000-$138,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
