    Job Description

    Alabama State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director of Compliance. The Associate Athletic Director for Compliance oversees and coordinates a comprehensive compliance program that meets the NCAA, ASU, and SWAC legislation, policies, and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Manage and supervise all functions including, but not limited to eligibility, financial aid, rules interpretations, recruiting activities, and education
    • Serve as liaison to multiple on campus units, including but not limited to the Registrar's Office, Admissions, Student Accounting Services, Financial Aid, and the SWAC Office and NCAA
    • Work closely with other members of the senior team and respective units to ensure that the objectives are accomplished
    • Serve as sports administrator for assigned programs
    • Holds responsibility for interpretive requests, administration, waivers, monitoring and education for assigned for the department covering all NCAA, SWAC and Alabama State University regulations
    • Oversee internal operations
    • Serve as unit lead for monitoring efforts, following up with compliance staff to ensure institutional control
    • Develop and maintain NCAA Division I Compliance Manual and Recruitment Manual
    • Update the rules education information and compliance forms on the compliance website
    • Generate and maintain all compliance forms
    • Implement university tuition waver and scholarship policies; oversee the National Letter of Intent Program to include the development of all scholarship agreements and tracking NCAA individual and team grant-in-aid limits
    • Develop and provide education and training regarding compliance rules and regulations for student-athletes, coaches, administration and campus partners
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5 years of relevant experience, must be able to work a flexible schedule, including , but not limited to, evenings and weekends, and have working knowledge of NCAA, and SWAC regulations.
