- Responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines that require high skill to set up and operate. (2-axis and multi-axis) ( Swiss, DMG, Okuma, Takisawa, Brother, Haas etc.)
- Working with blueprints, operation sheets, travelers or other specifications, set-ups and completes the machining operations to produce a quality part.
- Responsible for generating and checking part dimensions during various machining stages with complex measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and special purpose gages.
- Required to perform precise indicating on parts where true indicator reading (TIR)
- Responsible for achieving all required tolerances and finishes that will produce quality parts in a timely manner and for meeting standards as set forth by Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Assurance.
- Must adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and all Quality requirements.
- Verify and record actual part count, both prior to and upon completion of all work
- Perform visual inspections (part relationship to operation sheet/blueprint configuration) on all parts produced and performs actual dimensional verification using measuring instruments as per the guidelines established by the department or the Quality Assurance Department.
- Enters all work performed into the database and documents all scrap.
- Notifies leadperson or supervisor of any parts shortages or machining problems/difficulties.
