    Job Description:


    As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to assist with creating and implementing various methods and procedures with the purpose of reducing costs and improving productivity.

    Through rigorous research and planning, they discover what parts of the manufacturing process can be optimized in a way that would reduce costs and increase the total output.

    The ideal candidate must be industry savvy, a self-starter, and detail oriented.


    Responsibilities:


    Responsible for the design and/or testing of tooling and equipment and/or planning the manufacturing processes in a designated area of the manufacturing plant.

    Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within limits of general practices and procedures, but where supervision is available to handle unusual situations.

    Occasionally may assign work to small group of employees.

    Also, will be responsible for the development and installation of tools, equipment and/or gauges and the development of manufacturing processes in assigned areas of the manufacturing plant.

    Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.
    Analyzes product designs for best method of manufacture.
    Proposes and evaluates the processes for equipment in assigned area.
    Directs the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area.
    Provides technical support for specific plant operations.
    Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions.
    Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise.
    Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities.
    Directs the design, development and/or improvement of manufacturing process for an assigned area.
    Supports the purchase and installation of new equipment associated with assigned area of the manufacturing plant.
    Evaluates expenditures for processes and/or equipment.
    Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.
    Coordinate activities with other departments and our customers.
    Ensure that manufacturing has accurate and detailed information on specifications to produce the part.


    Requirements:
    Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably mechanical or equivalent experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience with PCBA workflowsKnowledge of Design for Manufacturing Assembly (DFMA)

    Familiar with single piece flow and visual management processSalary Range:
    $85,000 - $125,000/yearVoyager Space
